Eight short stories written only with HSK 1 and 2 words. Tap a word for its sound and meaning, or listen to the whole story.
Reading tips
- Read a sentence first, then listen to it with the speaker button and read along.
- Turn pinyin off once you know the characters, so your eyes learn the characters and not the letters.
- Answer the three questions at the end, then mark the story as read. Reading the same story again a few days later is good practice too.
The stories were written for this site. They use the words you practise in Words, plus a few names and everyday phrases explained when you tap them.
